Network of Excellence for Intelligent and Sustainable Drone-Assisted Viticulture

The project aims to scale up, pilot and bring to market an innovative holistic plant and crop protection system based on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, new observation platforms and new off-the-shelf sensors, and to establish a Competence Center for Precision Viticulture. Research uses the knowledge, experience and infrastructures of the partners to achieve the innovative results proposed.

Summary and Objectives: The project consists of the development of an innovative mobile system for the detection, immobilization, and redirection of unauthorized UAVs (drones) in restricted areas such as airports, military zones, or public events. Using advanced technology and artificial intelligence, the system can take control of an invading drone and redirect it to safe areas, reducing risks to people and property. The objective is to create an innovative product in the defense sector, with a strong digital component, capable of being tested through pilot projects and later scaled for national and international commercialization.
